Kjell Rosén
Kjell Bertil Gunnar Rosén (born April 24, 1921 in Malmö , † June 13, 1999 in Bunkeflostrand , Malmö municipality ) was a Swedish football player and official.
Career
Rosén made his debut on October 18, 1939 for Malmö FF in the Allsvenskan . He played in Sweden until 1950 and scored 108 goals in 379 games for MFF. He was Swedish champion and cup winner three times each . He then went professional in Italy at AC Turin . From there he moved to Novara Calcio , where he played alongside the legendary Italian striker Silvio Piola until 1953 .
Rosén made 22 appearances for Sweden and scored six international goals. At the Olympic Games in 1948 , he won the gold medal with the team. After moving to Italy, he was no longer nominated for the national selection because the Swedish Association rejected professional football. Therefore, like many of his compatriots working abroad, the already nominated Rosén was removed from the squad for the 1950 World Cup .
After the end of his active career, Rosén returned to Malmö. At times he was involved in the youth work of his old club. From 1968 to 1981 he was a member of the MFF board.
