The kkStB tender number 42 was a Tender series of kkStB whose tender originally from the Bohemian Northern Railway came (BNB).
The BNB procured these tenders for their BNB IIa locomotives . They were supplied by the Floridsdorf locomotive factory (2 pieces) and the Wiener Neustädter Lokomotivfabrik (6 pieces). At the BNB they were given the series designation B and the numbers 50–51 , 59–62 and 69–70 .
At the kkStB they were given the designation 42.01-08 and continued to be used together with the 103 series.
After the First World War , the remaining five came to the ČSD with the 103s .
