Klaas Africans

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Klaas Africans , actually !Garuhamab († after 1800 ), was the second Kaptein of Orlam - Africans , after his father Oude Ram Africans , first in the Cape Colony and then in today's Namibia .

He left the Cape around 1770 and marched north to what is now southern Namibia. Afrikaner is considered to be the founder of what is possibly the only pre-colonial city in South West Africa , ǁKhauxaǃnas . It was used as a fort against the Cape government, with which Africans must have previously fallen out. It is possible that Afrikaner had just been sent by this government to explore South West Africa beforehand. Around 1800 he passed power to his son Jager Afrikaner .
