The sound stone ( English Musical Stone ) is an archaeological site on the Rooipunt farm , about 100 kilometers south of Bethanien in the ǁKaras region in Namibia . It has been a National Monument of Namibia since August 15, 1963 .
According to the monument commission, it is a historical ritual site. A dance floor can be found behind the sound stones . There are also numerous rock drawings to be discovered here.
