Life
Klaus-Peter Bruchmann was born in Borgsdorf near Berlin and came into close contact with music in his youth. After studying at the former Stern Conservatory in Berlin, he worked for radio, mainly in the field of orchestral and symphonic entertainment. In general, it is true of Bruchmann's oeuvre that he succeeded convincingly in filling the gray area between entertainment and serious music with life. Bruchmann, who was no longer active as a composer since a stroke in the late 1990s, also emerged as the initiator of the “Borgsdorfer Kreis”, an association of German composers who predominantly composed symphonic and concert works, etc. a. for wind orchestra. Other members of the “Borgsdorfer Kreis” included Hans Hütten and Wolfgang Schumann.
