Ndlambe ( English Ndlambe Local Municipality ) is a local municipality in the Sarah Baartman district of the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa . The seat of the local government is in Port Alfred . Mayor is Khululwa Ncamiso.

The community is named after a chief of the Rarabe clan of the Xhosa , who lived in what is now the municipality. He was chief from 1782 to 1796 and died in 1829.

In 2011 the community had 61,176 inhabitants. 77.7% of these were black, 14.2% white and 7.3% colored . The mother tongues were 71.5% IsiXhosa , 12.2% English and 11.7% Afrikaans.
