Klaus-Peter Diehl

Klaus-Peter Diehl (born September 19, 1966 in Mainz ) is a German musician, conductor and church musician.

Life

Klaus-Peter Diehl grew up in Burbach in Siegerland. He started his musical career in the local YMCA trombone choir, where he began with the tenor horn . The trombone and euphonium are now his main instruments.

After studying music a. a. at the University of Church Music in Herford and his work as a bass trombonist in the staff music corps of the German Armed Forces (today the music corps of the German Armed Forces), he started working as a federal trombonist in the YMCA West Association in 1993 . While working, he completed an apprenticeship at the FH Bochum in the subject "Culture & Event Management"

His main tasks include the further training of the amateur musicians of his association, the training of conductors and the promotion of young talent. Since 1993, more than 40 recordings have been made under his leadership. He is also (co-) editor of sheet music, for example Da Capo, color comes into your life, Just Roblee I + II, Just Michael, Just Luis, signs of your closeness, signs of your love , signs of your greatness . His latest edition is the extensive work "Zwischenentöne". In addition to his duties as federal trombone attendant, Diehl has also been director of the YMCA's "Teenager Brass Academy" since 2009.

In 2015 he founded the “BuJuPo”, the national youth trombone choir in the YMCA-Westbund, to which 35 to 40 selected young brass players belong. Klaus-Peter Diehl has lived in Hille since 1993 . He is married and has four sons.
