Klaus-Peter Hennig

Klaus-Peter Hennig (born May 2, 1947 in Bremen ) is a former German athlete and three-time German champion in discus throw .

In 1968 Hennig took part in the Olympic Games in Mexico City in the discus throw , where he failed with 53.80 m in qualification as well as at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich , here with a width of 58.64 m. At the European Championships in 1971 , he finished eleventh.

Hennig first started for Preußen Münster and then moved to TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen . As a Leverkusen resident, he was the German discus thrower in 1971 , 1973 and 1975 . He achieved his best length of 64.80 m in 1972.

He admitted to having doped.
