Klaus-Peter Ritter

Klaus-Peter Ritter (born January 9, 1964 ) is a former German ice hockey player and current coach , who has played for SV Bayreuth and EHC 80 Nuremberg in the 2nd Bundesliga during his active career .

Career

Klaus-Peter Ritter learned to play ice hockey at the then Nuremberg ice hockey club SG Nürnberg , which filed for bankruptcy in 1979. Since the founding of the successor club EHC 80 Nuremberg in 1980, he was a youth player at the club before moving to the first team in 1981 at the age of 17. Until 1986 the team managed to rise regularly before moving to the then 2nd Bundesliga club SV Bayreuth via the ERSC Amberg . Other player stations were the 1. EV Weiden , the Mighty Dogs Schweinfurt and the Blue Lions Leipzig .

Ritter is best known for his speed and his strong goal instinct. He is one of the top ten scorers as well as the top ten goal scorers in EHC80 history. After the end of the 2008/2009 season, he ended his playing career. Since 2009 he has been working as a junior coach at EHC 80, including as head coach of the U8 team.
