Klaus-Peter Schöppner

Klaus-Peter Schöppner (* 1949 in Münster ) is a German pollster. From 1990 to 2013 he was managing director of TNS Emnid .

Life

From 1968 to 1973 he studied psychology , business administration and journalism at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . From 1973 to 1975 he was a scholarship holder of the RKW Hessen (Rationalization and Innovation Center of the Economy eV) in the training program "Qualified Market Researcher", which he completed in 1975. From 1975 to 1990 he was head of studies, head of political and social research and finally deputy managing director at the Emnid Institute , before becoming managing director in 1991. In this capacity, he hosted his own TV show on n-tv from 1995 to 2004 . In 2013 he left Emnid due to old age and founded his own consulting company Mentefactum .

Schöppner is one of the authors of the CARTA author's blog , which received the Grimme Online Award in 2009 .
