Klaus Angermann (sports journalist)

Klaus Angermann (born June 24, 1938 in Dresden ) is a German sports journalist.

Klaus Angermann worked from 1963 to 1998 as a sports reporter for ZDF . He reported on 19 Olympic Games from 1972 to 2010 . As a presenter, he led the ZDF sports report on Sundays for many years . From 1965 to 2016 he took part in the Tour de France 48 times as a reporter and journalist . In winter he reported on tobogganing and bobsleigh . He was also a specialist in wrestling, weightlifting and judo. For these sports he commented on around 150 world and numerous European championships.

From 1998 to 2001 he worked at Eurosport , where he accompanied the Tour de France in double moderation with former world-class driver Tony Rominger .

After the end of his television career, Klaus Angermann wrote a book about the Tour de France, which he also reported on as a newspaper columnist.

At the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City , he was press spokesman for the NOK .

On September 18, 2014, at the age of 76, he once again commented on Jens Voigt's successful attempt at the Velodrome Suisse in Grenchen to improve the hour record in track cycling for Eurosport .
