Klaus Dickneite (* 1946 ) is a German social worker, politician and mayor of the Misburg-Anderten district in Hanover .

Life

At the age of two, Klaus Dickneite was moved to the Johanna-Helenen-Heim in Volmarstein , built in 1910 , a church home for children with disabilities of the Evangelical Foundation Volmarstein . Here he and his classmates personally experienced “violence in the aid of the physically handicapped” “like prisoners”.

At the age of 22, Klaus Dickneite left the former “Krüppelheim”, where he had no contact with his parents, then studied social work and later ran a home for children with disabilities himself.

In 2006, Dickneite became the spokesman for the Johanna-Helenen-Heim independent working group , which was founded in 2006 and campaigned for reparation for the violence caused by overburdened deaconesses and the disinterested for decades after the Second World War .

In 2011, Dickneite was elected district mayor in Misburg-Anderten. Dickneite is a member of the SPD .
