Klaus Fleer

Klaus Fleer (born April 30, 1955 in Börger ) is a German SPD politician . From 2003 to 2008 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament . He is married and has three children.

education and profession

After completing secondary school, Fleer attended technical college in Papenburg from 1972 to 1974 and then completed his basic military service in Lingen. He then trained as a power plant electrician and studied electrical engineering in Osnabrück and Gießen from 1977 to 1983. He then worked as a service engineer at Siemens-Nixdorf until his election to the state parliament .

politics

Fleer has been a member of the SPD since 1991. In 1991 he became a councilor and 2001 mayor of the Börger community. Since 1991 he has also been a councilor of the Sögel community and since 2006 a member of the Emsland district council. He was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament from 2003 to 2008. Fleer is also a member of IG Metall and Greenpeace .
