Renate Geuter
Renate Geuter (born December 27, 1952 in Goldenstedt ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament until 2017 . She is married and has two kids.
education and profession
After attending elementary school, evening secondary school and evening high school, Geuter began an apprenticeship as a legal assistant. After further training, she has been an administrative clerk for the state of Lower Saxony since 1974. From 1991 until her election to the state parliament, she worked at the Oldenburg State Theater .
politics
Geuter has been a member of the SPD since 1984; from 1991 to 2016 she was chairwoman of the subdistrict of Cloppenburg . From 1991 to 1996 she was and since 2001 she has been a councilor for the city of Friesoythe . She entered the Lower Saxony state parliament for the first time in 2003 via her party's state list and was a member until 2017. She was spokeswoman for the SPD parliamentary group for budget and finance. Moreover Geuter member's Child Protection Agency and ver.di .
