Klaus Henninger (District Administrator)

Klaus Henninger (born June 17, 1929 in Gera ; † January 13, 2011 ) was a German local politician of the CSU .

Henninger came to Lindau as a teenager . He attended secondary school there and then studied law. In 1956 he entered the Bavarian civil service. It was used by the government of Swabia and in ministries in Munich and Bonn. In 1972 he became the district administrator of the district of Lindau (Bodensee) selected and confirmed at the next local elections four times in his office. In 1996 he stopped taking part due to his age.

Among other things, Klaus Henninger was involved in the restoration of the only remaining steamship on Lake Constance, the Hohentwiel (restoration 1984 to 1990) and the first automobile ferry on the lake, the Historical Ferry Konstanz (restoration 1996 to 2001).
