Elmar Stegmann (politician)

Elmar Stegmann (* 4. October 1971 in Ulm ) is a German politician ( CSU ) and, since 1 May 2008, district administrator of the district of Lindau (Bodensee ). Before that, he was Lord Mayor of the large district town of Leutkirch in the Allgäu from January 1, 2003 to April 30, 2008 .

Stegmann grew up in Vöhringen (Iller) . After graduating from the Illertal-Gymnasium Vöhringen, Stegmann studied administrative sciences at the University of Konstanz and graduated with a degree in administrative science. After completing his studies, Stegmann headed the central department at the Neu-Ulm district office from 1997 to 2002 . In the local elections on March 16, 2014, Stegmann was confirmed in office with 94.1% and in the local elections on March 15, 2020 with another candidate with 92.5%.
