Klaus Kütemeier (* 1939 in Delmenhorst ; † July 26, 2013 in Hamburg ) was a German sculptor .

Life

Kütemeier was a student of Gustav Seitz at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts . The Free Academy of the Arts in the Hanseatic city honored the artist as one of the most famous sculptors in northern Germany. "In his large-volume stone sculptures, archaic and modern, craftsmanship perfection and aesthetic elegance are combined," he said in his obituary. Many of his sculptures are exhibited in Hamburg , others in Rendsburg , Nortorf and in the sculpture park of Gottorf Castle .
