Klaus Konrad (politician, 1965)

Klaus Konrad (born December 10, 1965 in Ilz ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). From 2005 to 2010 he was a member of the Styrian Landtag and then became a member of the Austrian Federal Council .

Konrad attended the BRG Fürstenfeld for five years and subsequently completed an apprenticeship in steel construction. He then worked as a CNC specialist, viticulture specialist and medical masseur. In addition, he continued his education at the Otto Möbes Academy Graz and the Social Academy of the Federal Chamber of Labor Mödling with a focus on business economics as well as labor and social law. Konrad works as a works council.

Konrad is politically active as the managing chairman of the SPÖ district organization Fürstenfeld. He is also a councilor and treasurer in Ilz and represented the SPÖ from 2005 as a member of the Styrian state parliament until 2010. There he held the function of area spokesman for tourism.

Konrad has been a member of the Federal Council since October 21, 2010.

Konrad has been married since 1998 and has a son and a daughter. He lives in Ilz.
