Klaus Müller (born December 10, 1952 ) was a football goalkeeper in the game operations of the GDR football association . In its highest division, the GDR Oberliga , he played 1984/85 for BSG Motor Suhl . During his time as a goalkeeper, he completed a degree in engineering economics.

Müller went through the youth teams up to the junior league at FC Carl Zeiss Jena and was goalkeeper of the second team in the second-rate GDR league from 1971 . For the 1974/75 season he moved to the GDR league club BSG Chemie Schwarza . When the team was relegated in 1976, he joined BSG Motor Suhl, which also played in the GDR league. In 1979 player- coach Erhard Mosert made him the first goalkeeper of the GDR league team, he held this position until 1989. In the 1983/84 promotion season, he fell behind his previous permanent competitor Walter Jänicke when he won the 22 point and eight promotion games only stood in goal in 15 matches. In the league season 1984/85, coach Ernst Kurth relied fully on the 1.88 m tall Müller, who missed only one game in the 26 league point games. But he also played a major role in the fact that Motor Suhl had the worst record of all 14 league teams with 16:92 goals at the end of the season and had to relegate to the GDR league after a year. The low point of his league career was the 0: 8 on matchday 25 in the home game against BFC Dynamo. After relegation, Müller played with BSG Motor Suhl in the GDR league until 1990.
