Klaus Marxen
Klaus Marxen (* 1945 in Marne ) is a German lawyer and university professor.
Life
He completed his studies in law, history and philosophy in Kiel from 1965 to 1970 with the first state examination in law. During his studies he worked as a court reporter for a daily newspaper in Kiel. In 1971 he taught law at the DGB's vocational training center in Neumünster . From 1971 to 1973 he received a doctoral scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation . He passed his doctorate in 1974 in Frankfurt am Main . From 1973 he completed his legal traineeship in the legal preparatory service of the state of Schleswig-Holstein. After the second state examination in 1975, he worked as a lawyer in Itzehoe until the end of 1975 . From 1976 to 1980 he was a research assistant at the Chair of Criminal Law II ( Wolfgang Naucke ) at the Faculty of Law at the University of Frankfurt am Main and from 1980 to 1983 university assistant. From 1982 to 1983 he was a professor of criminal law at the University of Hanover .
After his habilitation in 1982 at the University of Frankfurt am Main for criminal law, criminal procedural law and legal philosophy, he taught from 1983 to 1985 as professor for criminal law , criminal procedural law and legal philosophy at the University of Bremen , from 1985 to 1989 at the University of Bielefeld and from 1989 to 1993 additionally for Commercial criminal law at the University of Münster . In the winter semester 1991/92 he was visiting professor at the Humboldt University in Berlin and since March 1, 1993 there as a professor for criminal law, criminal procedure law and legal philosophy. During his professors was he to 2007 in the second chief magistrate at the district court of Bremen , Bielefeld District Court and District Court Münster (both Great Criminal Court) and the Court of Berlin (Criminal Division). After retiring on March 31, 2010, he is a senior professor.
