Klaus Reisinger (painter)
Klaus Reisinger (born February 10, 1939 in Vienna ) is an Austrian painter and graphic artist .
Live and act
In 1941 Klaus Reisinger moved to Graz with his parents. There he attended the Graz School of Applied Arts from 1957 to 1958 , where he was taught by the painter Richard Winkler , among others . From 1959 to 1963 he graduated from the art school of the city of Linz , where Alfons Ortner was one of his teachers.
He began his freelance work in 1965. He was a member of the Graz Secession until 1977 and has been a member of the MAERZ artists' association since 1969 . In 1977 he was a founding member and from 1982 to 1989 president of the artist group 77 Graz. In 1984 he became a member of the Forum Stadtpark Graz, and in 1985 he set up his own studio in Graz.
Reisinger won prizes in national and international competitions with his work. His works can be found in several public Austrian galleries or as art in public spaces.
