Klaus Richter (politician, 1947)

Klaus Richter (* 1947 in Elsterwerda ) is a German politician. From 2002 to 2010 he was District Administrator of the Elbe-Elster district in southern Brandenburg .

Life

The in Elsterwerdaer district Kraupa living social democratic politician Klaus Richter was before his election as district already eight years as First Assistant operates the district Elbe-Elster.

In the election for the 5th state parliament in Brandenburg on September 27, 2009 , Richter in the state electoral district Elbe-Elster II stood as a social democratic candidate and was defeated by the Christian democratic candidate Anja Heinrich , who thus moved directly into the Brandenburg state parliament.

Due to his age, Klaus Richter finally had to leave office in February 2010. In the same year he also gave up the chairmanship of the SPD sub-district Elbe-Elster , whose chairman he had been since 1993 with brief interruptions. Klaus Richter was made honorary chairman for his services.

He is currently politically active in the “Committee for Social Affairs, Family Matters, Education, Culture, Sport and Youth Issues” of the city of Elsterwerda. He is also a member of the F60 eV visitor mine association
