Klaus Robock

Klaus Robock (born March 18, 1931 in Merseburg , † 1991 in Essen ) was a German physicist who was involved in occupational medicine and silicosis research in mining.

Life

Robock studied chemistry and physics at the TU Berlin . In 1952 he became a member of the Corps Borussia Berlin . To the Dr. rer. nat. after receiving his doctorate , he worked at the coal mining association in Essen. He was the first to study the effects of coal dust on the miner . He set up his own asbestos institute for industrial safety and environmental protection in Neuss and initiated the international standardization of asbestos fiber measurements . He returned as research director to the coal mining association and the mining trade association and turned back to dust particles in mining . He was full professor (in Essen?).
