Klaus Stefan Freyberger (born October 31, 1948 in Fürth ) is a German classical archaeologist .

Klaus S. Freyberger completed his studies in 1982 with a master's degree, in 1985 he did his doctorate at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich , the subject of the dissertation was city ​​Roman capitals from the time of Domitian to Alexander Severus. Freyberger primarily conducts research on Greco-Roman architecture and art in Syria . Current research projects are the urban centers of the imperial era in southern Syria, especially Qanawat , imperial temple buildings in Hauran and Lebanon, as well as imperial tomb portraits in southern Syria.
