Klaus Schumacher (politician, 1937)

Klaus Schumacher (born December 28, 1937 in Oldenburg ; † March 21, 2010 in Rheine ) was a German local politician . From 1972 to 1977 he was senior district director of the Soltau district and, after the regional reform from 1977 to 2002, senior district director in the Soltau-Fallingbostel district .

Life

After studying law , he worked as a lawyer in Cloppenburg . In 1966 he became a government assessor and worked for the Hanover district government until 1968 . From 1969 he was a district councilor in Soltau . In 1971 he was first elected senior district director of the Soltau district. In 1978 and 1989 he was re-elected for a further 12 years, making him head of administration for a total of 30 years. He became seriously ill in 2001 and died in March 2010 at the age of 72.
