Klaus Waldeck (* before 1998) is an Austrian musician and producer from Vienna in the field of electronic music , he usually only appears under his last name as Waldeck , but is also known as Dr. Waldeck and known as part of the Act & Producer of saint privat & Zeebee. His style includes various forms of trip-hop up to an experimental, electronic variety of jazz .

Live and act

Waldeck began taking piano lessons at the age of six, but did not immediately embark on a musical career. He studied law and planned to do his dissertation on copyright issues in London , but came back into closer contact with the music scene. In 1996 he returned to Vienna, where the down tempo stars Kruder and Dorfmeister and founders of the “Viennese Sound” produced his first tracks on the EP Northern Lights .

His first album Balance of The Force was released in 1998 and is stylistically close to the trip-hop genre . In 2001 his second album, The Night Garden was released . It was seven weeks in the Austrian album sales charts and reached number 47.

In his album Ballroom Stories (2007), which is heavily inspired by jazz , he often draws on the vocals of Joy Malcolm , Brian Amos or zeebee . The titles Memories and Make My Day stand out in particular. The latter was also used as the theme song for the TV advertisement for the new C-Class Mercedes with Fernando Alonso . The album stayed in the Austrian album sales charts for ten weeks with the highest ranking 49.

The song get up… Carmen was used in a 2010 TV campaign for the Austrian mobile operator A1 . The Italian fashion brand Versace also used music from the Ballroom Stories album in its spot.

In July 2016 Waldeck released his 4th album "Gran Paradiso".
