Zeebee (* 29. June 1965 in Aalen as Eva Engel ) is a Austrian singer , composer , songwriter and producer . Stylistically, she combines jazz , pop music , electronic , acoustic and classical music with her music and her singing .

Life

At the age of five, Zeebee began writing songs, setting jazz and classical instrumentals to music and recording them. At 17 she toured with Pigbag by England , late 80s published them on the Swiss label Off Course with her former band "D-Sire" an album.

At the end of the nineties, “Zeebee” (derived from “cb” for cyberbabe) started numerous collaborations with musicians via the Internet. a. with Gerhard Potuznik, Kevin Martin aka The Bug, Curd Duca , Klaus Waldeck , Volker Bertelmann aka Hauschka, Dock Drumming, Jeffry Math, Jox, Trishes, Ikarus , Scott Mc Fadyen and Parov Stelar . Her first solo album "Chemistry", which was presented as "Album of the Week" on FM4 in 2004 , has received impressive reviews, especially internationally. With her idiosyncratic voice, Zeebee puts “Melodiengebirge”, say critics. Zeebee sees herself as an underground worker: "I am a miner, and my voice is the drill."

Like the debut album “Chemistry”, “Priorities” was released on the Viennese avant-garde label Angelika Köhlermann (in cooperation with Monkey Music). In addition to her studio work, the artist has also been presenting her music live in concerts around the world for several years. To Sunday Morning and cartoon Boom and music videos emerged.

In 2007 the album "Ballroom Stories" by Klaus Waldeck was released, on which she participated in most of the songs as an author and singer. This is also the case with Memories , a very memorable, jazzy piece that is based on a slow offbeat and in which she expands her vocal skills. She is present as a singer at live performances by Waldeck.

On April 21, 2008, Zeebee, together with the Dornbirn Youth Symphony Orchestra and Klaus Waldeck , are organizing a benefit concert for Doctors Without Borders in the Wiener Konzerthaus . At the same time she deals with forgotten humanitarian crises on her newly released EP "In Peace We Live", dedicated to Doctors Without Borders. In addition to an orchestral version composed by her, recorded with the Dornbirn Youth Symphony Orchestra, the CD includes remixes by Waldeck, Gerhard Potuznik and André Pollmann. The CD was presented for the first time on the benefit evening for Doctors Without Borders in the sold-out Vienna Konzerthaus.

"Be My Sailor", the artist's third solo album, was released on March 19, 2010 on the Viennese label Dope Noir . The follow-up album to "Ballroom Stories" with Klaus Waldeck was announced for 2013, on which she will again be represented as an author and singer.

Zeebee has been the owner of "agenturengel" in Dornbirn , a full-service advertising agency with an attached art gallery , since 2010 . With her agency, she has been awarded numerous prizes in the international advertising and communication industry and won a. a. 2014 in Munich the Best of Content Marketing award in gold.

On January 26th, 2018 the song "Addicted" by Eva Engel aka zeebee and Klaus Waldeck was covered and released by Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa on the current album "Black Coffee" (Mascot Label Group) .

On September 13th 2019 Dope Noir released the single "Wunderbar" Waldeck feat. Zeebee. On February 4th, 2020 the Viennese label Dope Noir released the single "Blue is the Beginning" Waldeck feat. Zeebee.

On July 3rd, 2020 Dope Noir released the album "Grand Casino Hotel". Zeebee is the author and singer of the album opener “So strong” as well as the tracks “Sexy Thing”, “I Need to Let You Go” and “Blue Is the Beginning”.
