The Piano Sonata No. 10 in C major KV 330 (300h) by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is one of three works in the cycle of the Piano Sonatas KV 330–332. The sonata was composed in 1783 when Mozart was 27 years old. The other two sonatas were published by Artaria in 1784 . Mozart's autograph of the sonata is in the Jagiellonian Library , Kraków .

The average duration of the performance is around 20 minutes.

1st movement: Allegro moderato

In the cheerfully held first movement , the antecedent of the main theme consists of the repetition of the two-measure theme head, the first two measures of the subsequent movement of runs. Finally, in the last two bars of the theme, the theme head is reproduced in a varied manner. Mozart modulates the next ten bars in G major , where the secondary theme in the dominant begins in bar 19. Here it is the case that every two-bar motif occurs repeatedly. These show similarities to the respective topics. These motifs are varied up to the final group before the implementation takes place. The motifs are processed in the development and Mozart penetrates here up to the key of G minor . After a transition of more than one bar, the recapitulation appears . This is almost an exact copy of the exposure . The main difference, however, is that the secondary theme, closing group (s), and coda appear in the tonic .

2nd movement: Andante cantabile

The second movement is considered to be one of the most harmonious Andante clauses and contains the formal scheme A – B – A. The first two parts each have a repetition sign after eight bars, whereas Mozart dispenses with this in the third. In the second half of the first part, Mozart indicates the character of the middle section, which, in its contrapuntal version, reproduces a sad mood.

3rd movement: Allegretto

The cheerful third movement also contains the main sonata form , the theme of which alternates between “Solo” and “Tutti” like in a piano concerto . The theme consists of six bars with the motif scheme A – B – A, whereby the transition to the six-bar secondary theme does not occur until bar 21. After revisions, Mozart closes with the final section, which, like the secondary theme, is in the dominant . In terms of structure and modulation, this movement is similar to the first movement of this sonata in development and recapitulation with the respective final section.
