Klein Reken (also Klein-Reken ) is a place in the municipality of Reken in North Rhine-Westphalia . Until 1969 Klein Reken was a separate community.

geography

Klein Reken is located in the south of the Reken municipality, directly north of the city limits to Dorsten . The Midlicher Mühlenbach runs right through the village .

history

Klein Reken was initially one of three independent communities in what is now Reken. In 1969 they were then combined with the rural community of Hülsten and Groß Reken to form today's Reken.

traffic

The most important traffic artery in Rekenen, the L 608, runs west of the village. It leads northwards u. a. to Groß Reken and south to Lembeck . Connected to the L 608, the L 652 crosses the town directly in an east-west direction and leads east to Haltern am See . In December 2019 at the track Dorsten-Coesfeld the breakpoint Reken Reken Klein created.
