The Midlicher Mühlenbach (in the upper reaches of the Kuse Becke / Kusebach ) is a 14.9 km long orographically left tributary of the Wienbach in North Rhine-Westphalia .

course

The stream rises as Kuse Becke or Kusebach southwest of the Reken district of Groß Reken and flows in a southerly direction past Reken train station and through Klein Reken . As Midlicher Mühlenbach , it reaches the Dorstener district Wulfen further south , flows past the Barkenbergsee and then flows into the Wienbach after 14.9 km.

history

The stream bed was straightened around 1900. Around 1965 the course for the urban development project Neue Stadt Wulfen was partially relocated and the groundwater was lowered. Since 2010 the stream has not been maintained, but left to its own devices, at the beginning of 2013 part of it was renatured .
