The concordance is a font size in lead type with a cone height of 48 Didot points , which corresponds to 18.048 mm or three Cicero . The equivalent in 48 DTP points is 16.9 3  mm, or two thirds of an inch .

Foundries use in lead type , a reference table, the so-called middle table showing a conversion between cone - enables and font sizes on the basis of the German concordance system. It was mainly used to define lines, reglets and bars.
