The Kleine Stienitzsee is a body of water in the Hennickendorf district , which belongs to Rüdersdorf near Berlin .
The lake is a natural depression that extends in a northeast-southwest direction and was created in a former meltwater channel during the last Vistula Ice Age . It is about 500 meters long and up to 250 meters wide. The lake has no above-ground tributaries and drains at the north end via a mill ditch into the Stranggraben , which flows into the Großer Stienitzsee . There is a swimming area on the southeast bank. The Wachtelberg rises directly to the north-west of the lake with the quail tower that separates it from the Großer Stienitzsee .
