The Kleine Wentowsee is located in northern Brandenburg about halfway between Fürstenberg / Havel and Gransee on the federal highway B96 .
The lake is around 50 hectares in size and stretches 1.5 km in an east-west direction and around 350 m in a north-south direction. There is a navigable tributary from the Großer Wentowsee in the east via the Polzow Canal . In the west, the Polzow Canal runs like a thin rhin through the landscape - however, due to the vegetation with aquatic plants, it is no longer even accessible by canoe .
Since the lake is less than 3 meters deep on average, it warms up quickly in spring. The water is heavily interspersed with plankton and algae in the warm season and is therefore cloudy.
At the south-eastern end of the lake there is a larger swimming area in the area of the Seilershof campsite. There is also a smaller bathing area on half of the south bank. The northeast area is built with boathouses.
Pike, eel, pikeperch, perch, catfish and white fish can be found in the lake. However, due to the natural cloudiness of the water, catching predatory fish is challenging.
