Cleomenes (son of Cleombrotus)
Cleomenes , the son of Cleombrotus II and the Chilonis , came from the house of the Agiads . He was the younger brother of Agesipolis . Since Cleombrotos had been banished from Sparta , the family lived in Tegea . It was not until Cleomenes III. expelled from Sparta, they could return. Since Agesipolis and Cleombrotos had already died, Agesipolis son Agesipolis became heir to the throne. Cleomenes became the guardian of the ruler who was still underage.
