Climbing World Cup
The climbing world cup is the highest international series in competitive climbing . The competitions, which have been officially held since 1989, are held in the three disciplines of difficulty (lead), bouldering and speed . The UIAA itself organized the World Cups until 1997 ; the subsidiary International Council for Competition Climbing took over from 1997 to 2006 . The World Cups have been organized by the International Federation of Sport Climbing since 2006 .
Each of the World Cup series consists of four to ten individual events. Since 2005 there has been a national ranking in which the results of men and women are added up in the respective discipline.
