The Klingelbrunnen is a fountain in Stolberg (Harz) in the municipality of Südharz in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located on the left bank of the Lude , not far from Rittergasse on the west side of Stolberg's old town.

The fountain consists of a semicircular basin into which fresh spring water flows from two pipes. In the past, water was supposed to have been fetched from the well for Stolberg Castle by donkeys . Regarding the origin of the name, there is the assumption that the ringing of bells on the donkey's necks led to the name. Another version indicates that the term Klingen in the past stood for the sound of the rushing water of the Lude, from which the name of the spring close to the river would have come.

Above the basin is a plaque with a verse by the local poet Willi Ehrenberg . The text says:

The bell fountain
Verses by Willi Ehrenberg

Linger, oh wanderer, stop for a short rest,
drink from the spring you dear guest
Then a happy mouth announces outside,
From mountains, from forests, from the meadow,
And always yearn for you with a joyful look,
To love, old one Stolberg back.
This is the fairy tale and the source says:
Go well, O wanderer, don't forget mine!
