Blade cell
Klingenzell is a district of the municipality of Mammern , a political municipality in the Frauenfeld district of the canton of Thurgau in Switzerland , and is located on the south bank of the Untersee .

The priory was founded in the Middle Ages by the Lords of Hohenklingen (with headquarters at Hohenklingen Castle ). The Klingenzell pilgrimage church ⊙ was consecrated to Our Lady of Sorrows in 1705 . The patronage is celebrated on the Friday after the 5th Sunday of Lent.
The parish is part of the Catholic pastoral care association Eschenz –Klingenzell – Mammern– Stein am Rhein .
A Way of the Cross with 12 stations was built below the Klingenzell chapel , which leads past a Marian grotto in the direction of Mammern. Processions take place twice a year from the Eschenz church to Klingenzell.
Surroundings
- About 800 meters west of the Sanctuary Klingenzell is located on a rocky outcrop above the submarine , the castle Freudenfels ⊙
- To the south-east of Klingenzell is a former Hochwacht ( 563 m above sea level ), which belonged to Hohenklingen Castle and served as border security and fire watch. In the 1930s, the artillery observation there was bunker A 5600 ⊙ the Swiss border fortification .
