Tapping acupressure

Tapping acupressure is a technique of energetic psychology or psychotherapy in which tapping, i.e. tapping meridian points , plays a central role. Within psychology , it is assigned to solution-oriented short-term therapies. Tapping acupressure is a method of alternative medicine and is not scientifically recognized.

Tapping acupressure is a combination of techniques that are practiced together: on the one hand, certain meridians of traditional Chinese medicine are included and, on the other hand, you have to mentally adjust to the problem, to visualize it by saying it or thinking about it . In addition, elements of EMDR are also used , i.e. certain exercises in which eye movement is essential, such as eye circles and the bridge , as it is sometimes called.

Tapping acupressure is taught and practiced in the following forms or directions:

  • Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) according to Gary Craig,
  • Emotional self-management (ESM) according to George Pratt and Peter T. Lambrou,
  • Thought Field Therapy by Roger J. Callahan, see Thought Field Therapy (TFT)
  • Mental field therapy (MFT) according to Dietrich Klinghardt,
  • Meridian Energy Technology (MET) according to Rainer Franke ,
  • Method for the resolution of negative states (NAEM - Negative Affect Erasing Method) according to Fred P. Gallo,
  • Tapas acupressure technique (TAT - Tapas Acupressure Technique) according to Elizabeth Tapas Fleming.

These methods differ in detail, but essentially the same principles that are applied.

The following methods were developed from tapping acupressure:

  • Be Set Free Fast (BSFF) after Larry Phillip Nims,
  • The Healing Code according to Alex Loyd and Ben Johnson as well as the energy medicine tools of the Love Principle. after Alex Loyd,
  • Process- and embodiment-focused psychology (PEP) according to Michael Bohne ,
  • Spiritual energetic psychology (SEP) or neuro-tuning according to Erich Keller.
