The Sacramenia Monastery (Santa María la Real de Sacramenia) is a former Cistercian abbey two kilometers from Sacramenia in the northeast of the Segovia province in Castile-León in Spain .
history
The monastery was founded in 1141 by Alfonso VII of Castile and was occupied in 1142 by monks from the Abbey of L'Escaladieu Monastery of the Filiation of the Primary Abbey Monastery of Morimond . In 1498 the Sotos Albos monastery was taken over as a priory. In 1647 it was partially destroyed in a fire. During the abolition of the monastery under the government of Juan Álvarez Mendizábal , the monastery was dissolved in 1835. The complex's cloister , chapter house, and refectory were sold to the United States in 1925 and rebuilt in North Miami Beach , Florida , where rooms belong to St. Bernard de Clairvaux Church .

The cross-vaulted church, 56 m long and 37 m wide, forms a Latin cross with three naves of six each, supported by pillars with veretal capitals in the nave, a transept and a choir head with five apses . The eastern parts are vaulted by a pointed barrel. The west facade contains a large, twelve-rayed rose window above the arched portal with seven archivolts .
