Boys tournament
The boys' tournament is an indoor soccer tournament for D-Juniors , which is held every year in January in Neubrandenburg . The tournament had its origins in Neustrelitz in 1966 , before it was established in Neubrandenburg, around 30 kilometers away, in 1970. There it was initially held in the town hall and has been taking place since 1997 in the Jahnsportforum , which can seat up to 3200 spectators. Clubs from all regions of Germany as well as individual teams from abroad take part in the football event, which is regularly sold out: u. a. the D-youth players of German top clubs (especially since the 1990s) and the home team 1. FC Neubrandenburg 04 . The boys' tournament is organized by the sports department of the regional newspaper Nordkurier based in Neubrandenburg . Many of today's football professionals and national players took part in the tournament as young people.
