Knallen ( Norwegian for explosion ) is a 1480 m high and rocky mountain in Queen Maud Land, East Antarctica . It rises 3 km west of the Nunatak pyramids on the east side of the head end of the Schytt glacier and on the north side of the Borg massif .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named it descriptively, carried out a mapping based on aerial photographs and measurements of the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–1952).
