Beer newspaper
A beer newspaper (or pub newspaper ) is a humorous or satirical newspaper created for a specific reason for a closed group of people .
The term comes from the student language and originally referred to a festival newspaper produced for a pub and read out during this. Many student songs were written as part of a beer newspaper. The custom and term were later also adopted for other occasions, for example parties of civil associations or school graduation parties .
Examples
From 1912 to 1916 the Gambrinusbund in Bozen published its own paper, the beer newspaper of the Gambrinusbund Bozen ; it was designed by Georg Innerebner.
Wilhelm Busch published in a pub newspaper during his studies in Antwerp (November 1852) .
