Knockane ( Irish : Cnocán , the hill) is a small hamlet with about 4700 inhabitants. It lies east of Castle Iceland, near the village Annascaul on the Dingle Peninsula in County Kerry in southwest Ireland , and is a historic place with a cairn with several stone boxes , which until the early Christian period nachgenutzt were. There is a large cross stone near the place that no longer has its original position. A bow at the top right is a Chi-Rho symbol .

There are a number of places in Ireland called Knockane u. a. in County Cork and County Tipperary .
