Vladimir Vladimirovich Ivanov

Wladimir Wladimirowitsch Ivanov ( Russian Владимир Владимирович Иванов , scientific transliteration Vladimir Vladimirovič Ivanov; born November 27, 1943 ) is a Russian Orthodox theologian .

Life

Vladimir Ivanov first studied art history at the History Faculty of St. Petersburg University and then theology at the Moscow Spiritual Academy , where he was awarded a Dr. theol. received his doctorate.

From 1975 to 1987 he taught at the Moscow Spiritual Academy and Seminary. In 1987 he became editor-in-chief of the Voice of Orthodoxy magazine . Ivanov was visiting professor at the Catholic theological faculties of the Universities of Frankfurt am Main (1991) and Vienna (1994) and gave guest lectures at the Universities of Houston, Austin and Lubbok (USA, 1993). In 1994 he received teaching assignments at the Protestant theological faculty of the Humboldt University in Berlin and at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main (historical seminar / Eastern European history) (1994 to 1998).

From 1995 to 1998 he was a visiting professor at the training facility for Orthodox theology at the University of Munich and on April 7, 1999, he was appointed professor for practical theology at the training facility at the University of Munich.
