The Knuckle Reef (from the English loosely translated Fingerknöchelriff ) is a reef in Marguerite Bay before Fallières coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located directly in front of the Beacon Head of Horseshoe Iceland .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee made the designation in 1959. It is named after the individual rocks of the reef that are visible at low tide and resemble the knuckles of a clenched fist.
