Knut, the little cuddly bear is the name of a German music project that came about in the spring of 2007 as a result of the international media hype about the polar bear Knut , who was born in the Berlin zoo . Behind the project are the two Hamburg music producers Michael Rick and Arn Schlürmann , who had previously successfully marketed The Smurfs musically.
Overview
After two producer teams had jumped on the hype about the young polar bear with Kitty & Knut and the project Der Eisbär , the Berlin zoo and the record company Universal Music decided to bring an official Knut song, authorized by the zoo, onto the market. Similar to the other projects, Rick and Schlürmann produced a simple but catchy children's song. They won the seven-year-old Hamburg student Lara Trulsen, daughter of the football coach André Trulsen, as the voice .
After the single was released shortly before Easter, it immediately hit the single charts in Germany and then in Austria and Switzerland. A French-language version released in France in August, where children's songs were popular at the time, even surpassed this success.
There are also parodies like "Knut tastes good" and "Knut tastes good!"
