Ko Ko Gyi ( Burmese ကို ကို ကြီ ; * December 18, 1961 ) is a Myanmar human rights activist. He is a member of the '88 Generation Students' organization and, along with Aung San Suu Kyi and Min Ko Naing, is one of the best-known critics of the military-dominated government. He was vice chairman of the All Burma Federation of Student Unions (ABFSU).

Ko Ko Gyi played an important role in the 1988 uprisings against the regime . After being detained as a political prisoner in 1991, he was released from prison in 2005 after 14 years. He was arrested again in September 2006 and released in January 2007.

He was arrested again after leading a protest march against the rise in fuel prices with other activists from the 88 generation of students in August 2007, which later developed into the largest demonstrations in Myanmar since 1988. On November 11, 2008, a special court sentenced him to 65 years in prison, serving in Mong Saik Prison, Shan State .

In January 2012, he was released from custody with nearly 600 other political prisoners.
