The KOBALT Figurentheater Lübeck is a puppet theater in the Hanseatic city of Lübeck in Schleswig-Holstein .

history

In 1980 Kristiane Balsevicius and Silke Technau professionalized their study-related puppetry activities (since 1975) and founded the KOBALT Puppet Theater in Berlin . As of January 2000, Stephan Schlafke, as a permanent employee of the ensemble, enriched the theater work with his extensive experience in marionette making and playing at the »Berlin marionette stage«.

The mobile KOBALT puppet theater has made guest appearances across Europe with its children's and evening productions at national and international festivals and at the regional venue next door.

Productions

The artistically and playfully demanding productions are created in our own workshop in close collaboration with freelance workers - authors, musicians and figure makers. From the finger puppet on the hand puppet , Stock- , Klappmaul- , bar -Figur, on the moving sculpture and the puppet to mask enough the expression of diverse and often award-winning productions.

ensemble

Silke Technau and Stephan Schlafke have lived on the Trave since 2006 and are the mobile KOBALT Puppet Theater Lübeck, which, in addition to touring, primarily shapes the artistic profile of the “Lübeck Puppet Theater” in Kolk 20-22 next to the Lübeck Theater Puppet Museum . Franziska Technau, the youngest member of the ensemble, has received extensive training as a puppeteer here since 2014.
