Koechlin Island is an island in the Adelaide and Biscoe Islands off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located off the northeast coast of Adelaide Island at a distance of 7 km south of the Sillard Islands in the entrance to the Buchanan Passage .

Aerial photographs of the American Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948) and the Falkland Islands and Dependencies Aerial Survey Expedition (1956–1957) were used to map them. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1960 after the Swiss glaciologist René Koechlin (1866–1951).
