Koh e Chehelsotun ( Persian کوه چهل ستونor Koh e Chelsetun Persian کوه چل ستون; Mountain of Forty Pillars ) is a mountain in Afghanistan . It is part of the Koh e Hindaki massif and is 2251  m high.

Location and surroundings

The foothills of the mountain border the Chelsouton district of Kabul . The area surrounding this ridge is known for the Zoroastrian , Hindu , Buddhist and mythical cultural history of the city of Kabul as well as for various dynasties and the like. a. of importance to the Shahan , kings of the Mughals in Kabul.
